JUCO Thomas tabs WKU in final four

Ray Harper and Western Kentucky basketball may have a shot at landing junior college big man Kevin Thomas.

Originally a Texas signee, Thomas spent the 2012-13 season at Palm Beach State Community College in Lake Worth, Fla. Tuesday, the Canadian recruiting website Northpolehoops.com reported that Thomas has trimmed his choices to WKU, North Texas, Troy and St. Bonaventure.

Originally from Ajax, Ontario, Thomas did not qualify academically for Texas. He played the 2010-11 season at Christian Faith Center Academy in Creedmoor, N.C., where he averaged 11.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Interesting to see how Benford fares against Ray Harper on a pretty highly regarded recruit.

At least we won't have to say we're losing him to a Belt school...

What's going on Mean Green?

  Tennis Advances @ the AAC Tournament
  
  Played USF earlier in the year and lost a close match 3-4 so could be interesting. #12 seed UNT vs #5 seed USF. ECU was the #13 seed and the final score didn't show how close it had gotten. UNT won the doubles point and the first two singles matches in straight sets to go up 3-0, but the remaining matches went into the 3rd set and could have gone either way. Our #6 player pulled out a 6-4 third set to clinch the match, leaving 2 matches on the court still in the 3rd set. Good win for our young team. Hope it translates into some confidence tomorrow...they will need it! GMG
