Big East not looking to C-USA for their next member

They're busy annoying the top MWC schools to please SDSU & Boise.

The Big East wants to make sure there isn't a MWC for Boise to go back to if the TV contract isn't what was promised. And the whole reason for this round of moves was the first offer of a TV contract wasn't close to what was promised. That why the Big East rejected it. TV said we wan t,ore for more money.

At some point, the additional mouths to feed will overwhelm the added revenue if it hasn't already.

One of the BSU Bronco posters several months ago (before BSU went Big East) said he wanted no part of North Texas (but posted that in a respective, humorous way since he was referring to All Time Series Record between the MG and his Broncos). They started their BCS Buster march in 2000 as our score that years reflects.

North Texas is (3-2) against Boise St

All Games

1996/11/09 North Texas 30 - Boise St 27 W

1997/10/18 North Texas 14 - Boise St 17 L

1998/10/10 North Texas 21 - Boise St 13 W

1999/10/16 North Texas 17 - Boise St 10 W

2000/10/21 North Texas 0 - Boise St 59 L

All we need to do in Denton is to merely catch lightning in a bottle with winning football seasons that last a several decades instead of what we've, uh,....well, nevermind.

Damn! That loss to UTA last night was really gave reason to reflect on what kind of future we might have in CUSA, especially based on what we've had in the SBC the last 10 years.

Have the chickens come home to roost at last on what has really been going on in Denton which was going to eventually rear its ugly head once we started varsity sports in CUSA? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Incorrect. We are 3-3. We lost to them in 1994 in Boise on the blue turf in the snow. It was really cold and a tough way to end a great season.

Fresno's got it pretty good right now. They are the only remaining team that immediately comes to mind as a "top" program.

I used to really want Fresno's football in BE, but now I'm 100% against it. It's not worth killing the momentum were getting back in bball (mostly by way of recruiting), softball and baseball. I have no idea why SDSU wants to kill their hoops program.

      A few HSO's

      1: One big problem with the NIL (aka pay for play) is that the universities are what draw the fans, not the players. People argue that "they deserve a piece of the pie", etc., but the big money comes from rabid fans and alumni of the schools, not from fans wanting to watch certain players. I wish they would form a minor league football and see how much interest there is...wait, we already have that. It's called the XFL, USFL, UFL and the players don't make much money ($5,500/wk) and there aren't many fans at the games. Put the Rengades in Alabama uniforms and the Stallions in Auburn uniforms and you'd sell out AT&T stadium. Why, because the players don't matter, the universities are what matter (as it pertains to attendance). Another example is the NBA D-League. What kind of money are those guys making? (I'll save you the Google search, they make $25K/yr). I have to assume that's peanuts compared to many of the NIL deals players are getting. If you want to get paid, go pro. Nobody is making you go to college to get a free education that will benefit you for the rest of your life. 2: I hate the argument that "coaches make big money and can leave for another job whenever they want to." See the last two sentences of the previous point. If you want to be able to do that, go pro. Make it your career just like the coaches have done. There are a very limited number of head coaching jobs at the college level and these coaches have put in LONG hours and worked their way up to the positions that they are in. Nobody was giving them millions of dollars when they were a GA busting their tail for nothing.

      Those schools you mentioned have already reached out to The Big 12. Also Louisville and Pitt have 100+ year historic rivalries with Cincy and WVU respectively. Keg of Nails and Backyard Brawl will both be owned by the Big 12 soon enough.

      If they wanted to join the ACC, they would have joined with Cal and Stanford. We already tore the Pac 12 apart, the ACC is next.
