Recapping week 4 -- we had a 10-place tie for 1st with curtisdaa, filmerj, GabeGMG, greenbyx, Lurker, meanJewGreen, NT03, TheColonyEagle, THOR, and YIPYKIA all getting 6 games right.

But in the overall standings have had a new leader: GabeGMG who has taken SOLE possession of 1st place heading into week 5. Nipping at his heels is greenbyx who has sole possession of 2nd place and there is a four way tie for 3rd between Lurker, UNTFan23 and YIPYKIA. There are also 10 members tied for 7th in the overall standings and they like Tiger still have a shot to finish in the top spot as does everyone. 6 games slated for this coming Saturday so get those picks in soon! GMG!

Thanks Harry, having a lot of fun with this pick'em league. Think we could do something similar for CBB, or would that be too many games?

Even a top 25 Pick-em would be fun.

Good to see the logjam at top is starting to clear. :)

      A-Scott Projected to OU

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. No other player has accomplished what he has. https://meangreensports.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/javion-hamlet/4731 Imagine what he would have accomplished if the 2020 NCAA Tournament had not been cancelled. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.
