Vito's Amazing Chancellor Factoid

Article would be true for what he has to work with as far as the upper classmen, but until you have given guys a chance to contribute that's not a true fact. Class specification should be the order of choice when it comes to putting a product on the field if that's the case. In my opinion Jmerson should be the starting RB he provides you the extra yards and heart every time yet he does not start. Why? You have under classmen that have worked and shown they are ready to contribute, but are not given the chance yet. BC is definitely an impact player and player that plays with heart and determination, but from what I have seen we have not put all our weapons on the field at the same time to be effective, and DT has to quite looking at #10 like he's the only receiver on the field. He threw that one ball into double coverage when #9 was open across the middle for the first down and whatever yards after that, at least we would have lived to fight another series had he looked elsewhere.

I can nitpick the crap outta any team's 2 deep with a magnifying glass like your's.

Jimmerson is good enough to start and he is my fav of the RBs, but - in my opinion - he is not head and shoulders above Byrd. I'm okay with Brandin getting the nod as long as both are sharing the load as is.

Welcome to the board, BTW. I don't particularly care to read posts from one who just registers and spews 6 straight criticisms of the offense, but you appear to have an inside perspective. You have under classmen that have worked and shown they are ready to contribute....care to elaborate, or is this something you've seen on gameday that I missed? I am looking forward to a post from you that doesn't criticize the offense.

I hope we don't find out the hard way there are only so many ways to get BC the ball. What do we do with Ivan? He has become a workhorse, but his stats are deceptive. Maybe DT can afford to distribute better. Regardless, Ivan doesn't appear to be emerging as a threat to change a game, i.e. relieve some pressure off BC. It will be interesting to see how our WR rotation plays out as the season unfolds.

I do like our run blocking though.

yes, BC is our greatest threat, so why is he not on the field 90% of our offensive plays? When he does play, everyone in the stadium knows he will touch the ball. I get tired of everyone saying we have no other play makers on this offense when most of our passes are thrown to BC or Delgato. How many passes to TE's this year? We usually have two on the field blocking, although they are very good blockers. Once the offense quits leaning on BC to make every big play it will make BC more effective when he does touch the ball. Let be patient and hope that our coaches make those adjustments.

In retrospect, there were some fairly nifty schemes on offense Saturday. But if you put your quarterback in the middle of a Kansas corn field, and he's incapable of hitting the North American continent, you put your kicker six inches in front of Mount Everest and he can't hit granite, and you give your receivers a bath in super glue and honey and they can't catch a housefly in a barn, it's tough to see results.

So, honest question. Lack of coaching on fundamentals before getting tricky on schemes or just simple lack of D1 talent on the roster top to bottom? I'm honestly not football smart enough to tell the difference.

As for the delay of game, someone explain to me how UNT took a time out, then had 7 seconds on the play clock when the time out was over. There's clearly a rule I don't understand.

I think he has proved he is head and shoulders above Byrd. Byrd has no explosion and as a result he is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry. Jimmerson has almost three yards more per carry at 6.5, and four games in that proves a big difference and not just a good or bad game.

I want to see 70/20/10 percent of the carries between Jimmerson, Chancellor, and Byrd. If we are up in the fourth then Brown can get the ball.
