Kid has great parents, got to know his dad pretty well... it's a loss not only for Mike being such a good player but because his mom and dad were great people and fans of the program. You hate to see this happen but we have to move on.

I saw a twitter post he had a week or two ago that said something to the effect of "Adios Denton, it's been real". I was suspicious then but it looks like my suspicions had merit. Sad to see him go. Maybe he was just so used to starting from high school and being a star that he didn't want to sit behind Phillips another year. Or maybe he'd rather just hang out with his bros back home.

From some probably unreliable sources. I think he just didn't enjoy playing football anymore. Which, if true, makes sense. I mean with a great stadium, improving team, and a chance to play in C-USA for two seasons...I don't know why someone would transfer to sit out a year. Unless he's thinking FCS., which wouldn't make much sense either.

Terrible. This makes no sense, but it is his choice, and I respect that. I wish him the best in his life.

Now it's time to move forward. No one player is greater then the whole of the program. This is one more ship we can offer next season to a player that can help us succeed in C-USA. Lets focus on building towards our move to C-USA.

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.

      The ACC has a media rights deal that runs through 2036 with massive financial penalties to leave. ACC schools make more money per school than the Big 12. The PAC had no media deal and zero financial penalty to leave the conference. The two situations couldn't be more different. ACC schools do not want to associate themselves with the likes of WVU, Cincy, UCF, Texas Tech, OK State and the other Truck Stoppers.

      The ACC will be picked apart just like the PAC was. Big12 will help in the raiding, just as they did with the PAC.
