Benson needs to be on New Mexico St.'s doorstep.

I really feel for Arkansas St, LaLa, WKY, and, to an extent, FAU. Huge steps back for them with these new adds.

Well he needs coverage in Texas so who else you going to get? He gets coverage for Austin and SA with Texas State and UTA gives him DFW.

UTA is a good as long as they don't add football. At some point people (Benson, in particular) need to get away from this market size crap. TX St., playing in the Belt, barely provides a presence in Texas, and hurts the conferences credibility (if they had any left after adding Georgia St.). Hell, just look at the Texas St. fans disappointment about going to the Belt. At some point, you need to add established FBS football programs to have credibility, which is why New mexico St. should have been the 1st addition announced by Benso. But no, he had to save Georgia St. 500K (how small time is that?).

I wish the above named teams well (never cared for Troy, MTSU dug their own grave, and ULM should be in FCS) and hope they escape this sinking ship as fast as they can.

New Mexico State is a credible program? Man, the standards are getting low in the Sun Belt. Get it over with and rename it the Southland Conference
