I know this goes in another section, but this was to big to miss. Catch ESPN news for more information. I do want to say this is alleged and it could very well be a setup against Kobe. However, the police said it was based on physical evidence as well as testimony.

"It seems kind of fishy...sort of like the girl that tried to frame Michael Irvin several years ago. "

Frame MICHAEL IRVIN?!?! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Good Lord, Michael Irvin didn't need to be framed, he was his own worst enemy. When it comes to Michael Irvin and his off season behavior, my sister might use one her favorite expressions "I don't have to make up lies about (insert name of person here), the truth is bad enough."

I don't think that Kobe would appreciate being compared to Michael Irvin.....and neither would I.

Let me clarify. I did not compare Kobe Bryant to Michael Irvin as a person and none of us are qualified to do so.

But Michael Irvin was framed one year (the year the Cowboys lost to the Panthers in the playoffs) along with another player and the woman got jail time for it. This reminds me of that.

Hopefully Kobe will continue to not get formally charged.

Yeah, I sort of remember that. I also remember thinking that (considering all of the things that Irvin probably did and was never charged with it) they should just let the girl go home and call it all "even".

Seems like a strange process to me.

Authorites considering filing charges

This part seems odd:

"Mr. Bryant is innocent and expects to be completely exonerated,'' Denver attorney Pamela Mackey said in a statement. "Contrary to the direct instruction of the district attorney's office, the Eagle County sheriff's office sought and obtained an arrest warrant ... this action illustrates the complete bias of the sheriff's office.''
