The University of North Texas Board of Regents also took the following action in Thursdays meeting:

That's a hefty pricetag for a walkway. Any naming ideas for it?

Mean Green Walk-way

RV SkyBridge

Hayden Fry Highway Flyway

Good to see this moving forward. The price tag does seem high, but with all the "impact studies", right of way testing, safety issues, etc., etc. that are required for such things these days it adds up fast. Who knows it will probably have to be completely covered to keep the one in a million idiot from jumping or falling off...makes it more expensive than it would otherwise have to be...or they will have to cover it to keep some idiot from getting on it and throwing rocks at the passing cars beneath it...these things cost money...too bad, but true. Just glad to see the walkway getting traction and moving forward so it can be in place for the 2012 season...I hope...I hope!

With the walk-way in place, Fouts field might just be the best parking option going.

Sept. 10th is going to be GREAT!

This is a link to various pedestrian bridges in the U.S. of A. Pretty neat. I think the BP bridge, in green, would be cool.

By my count, I've walked nine of these.

More bridge talk! I love bridges.
