- I like to think so, but I have no idea. He certainly tried. There are numerous credible sources that reported how he begged VP Pence not to certify the election results. Why? There is only one reason... So he could remain in power.
- Thankfully, we didn't have to find out.
But is it fair to criticize one side & defend the other when acting the same exact way? His move yesterday is just like something that lunatic Taylor-Greene would do.
It's weird because I see him as pretty much the exact same power-hungry, conniving, snake... just representing the other side. I think people in TX just jump on board with him (similarly to how people jumped on board with Trump) simply because he commandeered the face of the party they affiliate with here. He's the wrong guy. I would hope folks could see him that way. I also hoped people could recognize Ken Paxton, and they couldn't, so I suppose there's no hope either way.
I'm always curious about "he tried to over throw the gov't to stay in power"
So if he DID get the outcome he wanted....what.....would he still be the president today? The "he incited a MAGA crowd to overthrow the election" doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. That would be impossible. What is the expectation for what would've happened on January 7th? Trump comes into work and everyone just goes about their business?
