Wow I am shocked really about Houston ranked as high as #17 and they took down Tech in a really good game and great home crowd. They will probably shoot up in the polls, especially with all of the upsets.

Great job Houston, well played game, and Mike Leach looked dumbfounded

Oh, there is an object lesson here for us: they were having all that fun at a stadium with a capacity around 32k. Maybe we can "have fun" in such a venue.

I was there, and it was a really nice win for their program. An incredible atmosphere compared to what I have seen as a guy who has been going to UH games since their heyday playing in The Dome when I was a kid. Also a thoroughly great game. I just wish we could get something like that going in Denton. Don't recall that much activity going on in the tailgating scene EVER in Cougarland. Sounds like we didn't do too well in Denton, but I guess we have to be positive and remember that we weren't expected to do much this year anyway. Just looking at the stats and the game line, I still think we have a chance to be a pretty good team this year. We shall see.

Don't be surprised to see them crack the top ten today with all the other upsets. Although I think they are more likely to land around 11 or 12.

ANY TIME a mid major pulls something like this off, it is good for all of the rest of us mid majors. There is more parity in college football today than ever before. Today, I'm certainly a Houston fan, and I'll be rooting for them all season. It would be great to see a Mid Major from Texas do some BCS Crashing.
