Cartoonist and Endicott native Johnny Hart died Saturday at his home. Hart's daughter said the cause of his death is unknown, but he had a recent bout with lymphoma.

Hart launched his comic strip B.C. in 1958, and it has appeared in more than 1,300 newspapers worldwide.

Johnny Hart was 76 years old.
