I'm sure this was discussed already, but I just now got up the stomach to come back to this board.

I don't want to ever see another G-D firework at Fouts Field. I don't care if we beat USC there to secure a berth in the BCS national championship. It's not worth it to have to watch them go off after getting our ass stomped by MTSU worse than we did by the Longhorns*.

*Yes, I know what the scores were. Save it.

I don't.  Do you not find it insulting that they go off after our team lays a huge steaming turd out on the field?

how is it insulting? the fireworks aren't a celebration for a victory, it's an after game event for everyone to enjoy. if you don't like it...leave before they start.

Believe me, I left WAAAYYYY before the fireworks started. Unfortunately I could still see them from my tailgate.

I'm pretty surprised to read these responses. When the fireworks start off after a loss, everyone I see/hear seems completely disgusted by it. Oh well, I'll drop it.

The Rangers do the same thing - as do a ton of baseball and other outdoor sporting organizations..... there's much better things to complain about right now. Fireworks will not run off fans - all they can do is keep families around or give little kids another reason to encourage their parents to come.

I'm WAY more insulted by the games than the pre and post game activities.

I say keep them coming. Who knows, there's always that outside chance they'll catch fouts on fire. (We are insured aren't we?)

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.

      The ACC has a media rights deal that runs through 2036 with massive financial penalties to leave. ACC schools make more money per school than the Big 12. The PAC had no media deal and zero financial penalty to leave the conference. The two situations couldn't be more different. ACC schools do not want to associate themselves with the likes of WVU, Cincy, UCF, Texas Tech, OK State and the other Truck Stoppers.
