Upon further review, it appears UNLV "signed a memorandum of understanding to stay in the league". However they have not signed their media Grant of Rights over to the MWC and should by July 1, 2026.
Jon Wilner, writer for Wash St and Oregon St says UNLV is still in play, along with possibly Texas State, for PAC membership. No mention of UNT. He answers questions about the possible split coming as well...

NORTHTEXASWELOVE, with all respect, I couldn’t disagree more. The solution is for more fans to come to the game, not to reduce the size of the arena. By that logic, we could build a 2,500 seat “auditorium” and sell out every night. Fill what we’ve got. Don’t look for a reason to stay at home. Find a reason to come to the Coliseum and support the team you want to support anyway. J
Part of the slow start has to do with our style of play. We run teams into the ground. Run, run, run. Make or miss, run. Get fouled. Get into their bench. That takes time, but it works. So, don't get too worried about slow starts. It's like novacain. Just give it time.
