Watching practice yesterday, noticed Jace Ruder got lots of time in at LB. May be a pleasant surprise, obviously smart & a great athlete from being a QB. Looks like he’s added muscle over the summer also.

FWIW.....one of my neighbors is the O line coach at Argyle High. He told me that Jasper Lott is starting at RT. (Argyle is where Jasper played in high school)

And for those who don't know....Jasper's dad, John is an alum. Had a nice pro career for a while....then became a strength coach for some pro teams....and finally an NFL  scout. Great guy. Jasper should have good wheels for an OL, since he played TE/DE in high school.

Cash seems to be getting a lot of reps. Why do you think Grant Tisdale will be number 2? Offense depth chart seems young at WR. Wyatt Young and Mason Ferguson are both freshmen, right? Tipton as well. Interested to see how they all develop.

If they develop, they’ll just transfer.  If they sit, they will transfer.  If they start and lead the league, they will transfer.  To look at next years qb, you need to find a 4th stringer at Texas Tech or a starter at Tarelton!

Just curious, because I haven’t heard about him, why was juwaun price a co-starter over Zach Evans? I thought Evans was the highest rated player of all our rb’s.  (I know not what matters)

This looks really accurate. Matches up very well with some of the comments Morris and crew have made in the media availability sessions.

Wyatt Young seems to really be a standout to leapfrog Dalton Carnes who was a legit contributor at the Big 12 level. I’m sure both will get chances.

Also, I think Brian Nelson will end up getting the start at corner over Brice. Nelson looked really good last year. Was one of the team leaders in PBUs despite maintaining his redshirt and Morris has specifically mentioned him as a standout so far.

It‘s a depth chart. Not a proclamation of what formation we are going to run on the first play of the game. Sometimes we go 11 personnel, sometimes we go 10 personnel. If Blair Conwright is on the field because we’re in 10 personnel to start the game and we have no tight end, we’re not going to list Hammond behind Conwright on the depth chart when they play different positions.
