'24 Transfer Commit: DL/DT, VJ Bronson; AR St.

Recommended Posts

Welcome Treviance "TJ" Bronson to the Mean Green.  @Marty posted this in another thread, but I thought it deserved its own.

6'3"  290lbs.

Played HS ball at Katy Taylor.  Looks like he committed to Lamar out of high school in 2021, transferred to AR St. in 2022.  247's timeline is confusing.

Bronson suspected he would be a perfect fit at UNT and laid out a plan to join the Mean Green for the 2024 season. The 6-foot-4, 303-pound tackle finalized those plans during his visit to UNT this weekend and announced his commitment.”

“I like the coaching staff and the environment,” Bronson said Sunday after completing his visit. “I also like the defense and the scheme they play. I can play the zero [nose tackle] or the end. The coaches told me they need some help.”

UNT moved to a 3-3-5 scheme last season that requires bigger defensive linemen.

Bronson appears to be a good fit. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining and is set to enroll at his third college. He will arrive at UNT over the summer.
