I feel bad for those guys. And you are right, they have been at UNT for the long haul. Unfortunately, there are only a few. Bad Littrell years and now bad Morris years really cost those UNT players a chance at doing great things at the college level.
In the 2013 season UNT finished 9-4 and won the HOD Bowl over UNLV at the Cotton Bowl. I was there with around 30,000 other Mean Green fans were. It was epic. I felt North Texas had a bright future after that bowl win. In that same year, Texas State was playing their first full season in the FBS as our replacement in the Sun Belt. Let that sink in.
While other AAC programs are firing their failing coaches, we are handing out a bowl bonus. Our leadership's apathy towards accountability has allowed our football program to become a joke. There is no high note waiting for North Texas on Jan 3rd.
