Breaking: Spring Roster Update. (Tom Trieb and Keelan Crosby retiring from Football)

Dang, Tom seemed to be coming on later in the season. I hope both of these guys get their degrees and succeed in whatever they decide to do.

Crosby makes a little more sense- all of the injuries over the years and the influx of young talent at the safety position. 
 

Trieb not so much- we are hurting for great Dline play and he was one of our better ones. Maybe with Phil gone - he decides to to leave.

Trieb was ok when healthy. Sorry to hear about Crosby because he never met expectations and hoped he could turn it around this year. Wilson was a pretty good replacement so we should be fine.

I think he was playing hurt most of the year and showed some positive signs near the end of the season.

Average on jucos?  How about total average on all recruits?  He was a horrible recruiter and there are still some sheep on this site who are claiming otherwise which is a complete joke.

I think that Trieb didn't care for the 3-man defensive line.  It seemed that he overcame his injuries last year and had a decent amount of sacks so it wasn't poor performance.

Trieb, if memory serves, also ended up here because of a connection/trust with Phil Bennett.  Bennett's leaving may have played into this as well.  Oh well, next man up.

Trieb seems like a real big loss to me based on how good he was presented to be.

No. Both players retired by own choice. Staff knew players were leaving. Staff used the two available scholarships to bring in two more guys on NSD

I noticed the roster is out on Meangreensports.com and noticed a couple of interesting items.

Both Cole Brown and Daizon Carroll are listed.

New QB Jaxx Warren from Flower Mound Marcus is listed on the roster.  I would assume he is a walk-on.

A few other new names on there as well.

Two other surprises for me wer Tommy Bush and John Davis.  I thought that injuries had finished their career.

Another missing name from the roster is Bryson Jackson (#0 last year.  He was still listed on the roster at the end of last year but I don't remember seeing him on the sidelines.
