I wonder if any other school in the nation......has a head football coach AND a head basketball coach, who both made their teams....as walk-ons?

Grant has treated walk-ons well in his tenure....giving scholarships to both DJ and JJ.

As to Eric.....shouldn't say this....but some of the walk-ons he's bringing in.....impress me more than some of Littrell's signees.

Maybe we need a Walk-On's eatery here in Denton. It was founded by an LSU walk-on.

Great idea!

I am not aware of any.   I would put this class up against anything Littrell ever did.

I believe that walk-ons should eat with the varsity on practice days.  The food is out; why not let the total squad eat rather than throw it out.  Also feed them on home game days.  I would even go for 1/4 tuition.  Many of these walk-ons might be as worthy of scholarships as those who receive them.  They are often either the star of a bad team or just below the top few on a really good team.  As far as I know they get nothing.

Sounds like a go fund me account should be in the works.

I’m sure this response will be frowned upon, but… they get the chance to play FBS football and possibly earn a scholarship.  This is why I’m so against the NIL in its current pay for play form.  Kids all across America would love to get a chance to play college football and some people want to act like they are being mistreated and taken advantage of.  Some bitch because they didn’t get enough NIL money while others just want the chance to play.

I know nothing about these things, but is it correct the walk-ons are not allowed to eat with the scholarship players? If so, wow!

This is basically what's done at BYU with their walk-ons.
