Good for him. I’m sure the new staff is looking to bring in some of their own guys.  It looks like Jay Clements is still here. Im basing it off of his Twitter.

It should never be sad to see any of our coaches leave… all of us on here should be openly encouraging and embracing this staff hopefully being hired away in the 1-2-3 years. It would be a dream that Morris becomes a Gary Patterson, but honestly this program does not have the cash money that other schools have. 
 

seeing Morris, and other coaches leave offer buyouts to fast track projects, bring in new ideas, schemes etc to the programs… When SL was talking to KSU and not leaving, it only got worse.

Bloesch trusts him. Cole coaches quarterbacks, much of our fanbase despised our quarterback play. He very likely wouldn’t have been back so this is good for him, he has a shiny new P5 gig instead of no gig at all. Shanbour is also going to be one to watch. He won’t be kept by Morris but I’m wondering if Bloesch even had a spot for him.

Shanbour should look to move on. He's been here for like a decade. I would want to go experience something new and learn from a new staff.

SL is not the standard.  For the status of the program it was a good thing that they got him to stay.  But how they got him to stay was the problem.  He should have only gotten a raise and reduced buyout without additional years.  Ideally you want a coordinator on staff under the head coach you want to promote if the head coach leaves.  A head coach level and taking most of the staff with him every 3 year or less isn't good.  Here we definitely need some stability another 8 year tenure with Morris getting us bowl games wins and at least 2 conference titles along the way.  He finishes strong at UNT and gets a NFL Coordinator job or P5 head coach job.  Patterson kept leveling up TCU conference affiliation which made him more affordable with the increased conference revenue.  You won't likely see that at UNT.
