The Phil Bennett Incident (Video)

But remember back in NTs Big West Conference days? The "chippie" play seen from those mountain schools was common. Utah State comes to mind first.

NT was not a heavily penalized team this year and likely not the common denominator in all the cheap shot crap but rather got pulled in by Boise State.

I never played football so I may be completely wrong here, but that is my take on it.

Also, are the "tear away" undershirts legal? The Boise State skilled players had the blue undershirts hanging down their pants. When NT players grabbed BSU players they sometimes inadvertently grabbed these "tear away" undershirts and these shirts ripped right off in the NT player's hands.

Boise State fans are pretty salty for a team that just achieved the feat of beating the University of North Texas in a bowl game.

If he sticks around I still have a few more Boise-themed insults waiting in the Pez dispenser that is my mind.

It can’t be easy being an interim coach. Your trying to motivate players who are nervous about change and motivate assistants that most likely will be looking for new jobs with the exception of 1 or2. I think we looked better prepared to play last night than we have all year long.  BS had better athletes in the right positions that we couldn’t match.  It was cool seeing Coach Morris on the sideline being involved.
