NT Cheerleaders last night (vs Omaha)

There were lots of cheerleaders and dancers at the game last night.  I noticed many of the cheerleaders (about 10) were wearing a black band around their left leg just below the knee.  The lady behind me said it was for a patella injury.  But all the patella injuries were on the left leg.  I think they were making a statement of some sort.  Does anyone know ?

Hopefully they were mourning the end of black erroneously being used as a school color by our athletics department and spirit groups. It clearly is not, and such use is a violation of university policy. Black may only be used as a tertiary accent accent color in outlining school marks or for printed marks in monochromatic communications. University of North Texas Board of Regents approval is required for any deviation from this policy. Any intentional deviation from university policies can result in disciplinary action and possibly termination.

These statements are not opinion, they are policy.

This my friend is greatness.  It is the first thing that I would show the new athletic director. Sometimes progress comes from the strangest places.
