Not sure this is great move for Sanders. Colorado actually makes transferring in difficult (academics wise). That will hamper him a lot with his current strategy.

Would be surprised if they don't make exceptions for athletes transferring in

Neon Deion probably won't be there in 2025, lol.

Judging from Deion's track record and his ability to attract talent, this will is the first of many recruits. The coming week should be interesting to see who Deion lands out of the transfer portal. Stay tuned.

Is is about time to move this away from the UNT football forum?

Sure. He didn't go to USF. But make no mistake... expect to see CU in a lot of Texas HS recruits' "Top 5 lists". So choosing CU over USF takes away the direct impact on UNT, but make no mistake he and his staff will be vulturing hard into Texas for kids. This will ultimately hurt programs like Tech, Baylor,  OSU more than us, but we will see a trickle effect. Unless of course we keep SL then it doesn't matter at all, you're right.

Deion Sanders reinventing himself as a college coach is an incredible story.

There hasn't been a coach who produced a winning record at Colorado since Gary Barnett was forced out in 2005.

If Deion succeeds there the Florida State coach better keep winning.

Prime sold kids on elevating HBCUs to get top talent to come in. Now it’s pretty obvious JSU was just a means to an end.

Exactly. Dude is scamming these kids. He sold these kids on elevating HBCUs and preached loyalty but left after 2 years. He got the number 1 player in the country to flip to Jackson State and now left him. All those kids who transfered from FBS schools, including many from P5s, to play for him are now left out to dry. Doubt he'll have success at Colorado.

And to add, he refused any opportunity to play teams of equal talent. The SWAC has been down for years. He could have had Jackson State in the FCS playoffs but instead opted to play the Celebration Bowl and used tradition as a disguise. Finessed Colorado out of millions in the process.

Loyalty doesn't exist in college football.

Everybody -- coaches, ADs, players -- will leave for a better opportunity if one is offered to them.

At least now players can hit the portal when a coach leaves.
