Coastal Carolina coach Jamey Chadwell: His offense is one of the most exciting in the country but won’t look as sharp this week against Southern Miss, as star quarterback Grayson McCall is out with a foot injury. If Chadwell doesn’t get a Power Five offer, USF could double his salary ($850,000 last year).

Indiana coach Tom Allen: The former USF assistant (and Hillsborough County high school coach) takes a six-game losing streak into No. 2 Ohio State. USF would be an excellent landing spot for him, if he needs an exit strategy.

Penn State co-offensive coordinator Ja’Juan Seider: The Belle Glade native and former Gators assistant coaches one of the nation’s top freshman running backs, Nicholas Singleton, and should be able to put up good numbers against a mediocre Maryland defense.

Florida A&M coach Willie Simmons: He told the Tallahassee Democrat this week he hasn’t “heard any rumblings or gotten any contract” from USF, but he’d be an attractive candidate. His Rattlers have won seven in a row entering Saturday’s game at Alabama State.

      Music - Team Introduction and More

      Yuh genuinely made this user feel embarrassed, as this user watches Dallas Stars games, preferably the Bally Sports Southwest stream if possible, and this user, who thinks their hearing is impeccable and certainly the best in the family and one of this user's best qualities, thought that the fans chant 'GO...STARS!' four times after each goal, and this is the first time hearing that it was Pantera who made a custom song for the team and the correct lyrics are 'DALLAS....STARS!' being repeated four times! 'Do'h!' Anyways....this user just saw this thread and thanks the OP for making it as this user had an idea: Why not contracting with a more local artist, like that one chick who went here and was mentioned during a basketball game) to come up with something, or license one of their songs to use in addition to the 'fight song'. It doesn't have to be an either-or scenario here, this user respects the tradition and the 'MF'n' song, but is also open to having something more to add to the presentation that could be a new tradition to add to, say,coming college football video games (as this user posted about here: Would be remiss if 'EricJuly' didn't have his name thrown in the conversation, as 'Backwordz' has some amazing tracks out there and this fan recommends their playlists and checking out their other songs not in a given playlist: https://www.youtube.com/@BackWordzMusic/playlists (try starting with 'Veracity' and then 'Rap Circle' and then the 'singles' section to cap it off)

      2023 NET Rankings

      With the bottom of the conference being so weak its very hard for good teams to improve their NET ranking. For UNT there are no more Q1 games on the regular season schedule, and just a couple Q2 games.

      North Texas lands 5 Commits to Wrap Up Last Recruiting Weekend

      I enjoy a good debate, so here's my counter. I'm basing my recruiting on the overall metrics and rankings on popular sites like 247, ON3, Rivals, etc. I never said Litrell got every drop out of what he has to offer. But you can't argue that he didn't compete and beat most of his competition in the realm of of recruiting. Not on field performance, in-game decisions, staffing choices, etc. I'm isolating my argument to recruiting. Which, by G5 standards was above average and by conference standards he was in the upper echelon. North Texas was behind UTSA in 2022 but... the three years prior UNT's class was all ranked ahead. This is the exact revisionist mindset i'm talking about. They might not have maximized that potential, but by all exterior metrics the class was considered better year over year at UNT. Hell last season we had 5 All-CUSA first teamers Horton, Gummes, Mose, KD, Texada. We have an elite receiving core still in the building and had one of the better o-lines in the country. Running back room has been more than full the entire time he was here. Litrell didn't lose his seasons in the offseason recruiting periods it was in player development, and in some of his coordinator hires.

      The point is that we all were excited when he recruited and signed his classes including those 8 QB's just like we are all excited with what Morris and staff are doing at this time. The difference is that we can now look back and see how SL's classes turned out/developed. We don't have that ability yet with Morris' class, so you are not comparing on like information.

      Idea for new uniform design

      No TL;DR, why bother posting if one isn't going to read? A disturbing trend this user has seen first-hand over a decade now, yet in many cases, those saying or asking for such a thing either post a longer diatribe or spend longer on a site than the poster of the OP and/or don't ask for such a thing in a polite enough manner to warrant the OP to give such a thing. Anyways....how about riffing on the Seattle Seahawks NFL team whereby the 'Battle Flag' is not only used on both sides of the helmet, but the BACK of the helmet as well? Picture two 'flag-beaks', one on each side of the helmet, and then on the back two more....FACING each other (like the newer Seattle Seahawks helmets) to give off the illusion of a 'Mean Green Eagle' staring back at the camera/defender running behind a Mean Green player? If the images of a 'flag-beak' still come across as too 2-dimensional, that could be corrected by making the 'star' of the flag, the one that doubles as an 'eagle eye', appear as if it were 'rotated' 45-degrees, by shrinking the 'left' point of the star, lengthening the 'top' and 'bottom' points of the star, and widening the 'right' point of the star! Bleeding a brush stroke (or having the same stitch work as the 'left' shade of green as the hockey uniforms have) stretch ever so slightly across to the right into the territory of the other shade of green could help with the desired 3-D appearance, both as a finishing touch for flag waviness and as a pronounced eagle's beak! IMHO, THAT'D BE COOL!
