I agree and I’ve posted to this board my hope for an annual post-Thanksgiving game vs SMU. I think it could be awesome and makes sense for the reasons you listed. However the realist in me also thinks SMU couldn’t careless about developing a crosstown rivalry with a team they don’t consider worthy. Especially since we’re excited to be joining the American and they’re looking towards the exit. I hope I’m wrong on SMU’s mindset but IMO it feels like we want the SMU rivalry to be a thing more than they do.
