Reasons NT needs to beat UTSan Antonio:

The roadrunners are 69-70 all time. Can't let them get to .500.

Arguably almost nothing may change SLs longevity here (if he really does win conference I predict he moves on), but a W would seriously calm Traylors momentum for the years to come and wouldn't that help the next coach.

Can yo really stomach seeing UTSan Antonio starting to get top25 votes

NT wins, a path to the conference championship opens up.... and narrows a lot for UTSan Antonio.

 

 

Most concerning stat looking at the past of this series: home team is 7-2 in this series

Good preview. I personally would rather read than listen, mostly because when I have this kind of free time it's because my kids are at school and the last thing I want to do is hear more talking. Well written. If we stick to running, even if we fall behind a bit early, I think we've got a good chance of coming home with W. Horton looks like a special Swiss army knife type of guy. Hope the staff keeps him involved.

      Texas Monthly ranked Truth #3 in Texas in 2021. Of course this is all subjective, but Truth is definitely one of the top spots in Houston. Personally, it's my favorite. Pinkerton's and Pit Room are also very good.

      Short of us going 26-1 and making the playoff the next couple of years or getting our version of T Boone....it's the only hope our football program has to survive

      I've said this exact thing for years. Those NFL-lite and NBA-lite schools need to separate completely. Move on to their New Minor League setup. And let the rest of us compete against peers in a structure that makes sense, from a cost standpoint. I would love to have UNT in a league that has the current AAC, MWC, CUSA, MAC, and SBC schools, as well as the former power programs that get left behind, like Washington State and Oregon State have already experienced.

      either way....it seems that there is no longer going to be a middle ground. And UNT and it's alumni need to decide which way they're going to go. Either go all in....or drop. We can't just sit and stay afloat....unless there is some sort of official break. That seems to be our only hope. Let the top 40 schools form their own thing and then the rest of us go regional. That's really our only option and if that doesn't happen then it's time to decide if throwing any money toward "big time" football is worth it. I challenge anyone to come up with a justification for it. Basketball is still there for the taking and much less expensive to operate.
