If we go 50-50 in the toss up games, its a 5-7 season.  Not bowl eligible, massive hit to the budget because nobody will be in the stadium spending money, and small donors will not elect to renew tickets and donations.  The future is bleak...even with a new coaching staff.  There is no way that we keep 50% of our current roster out of the portal if we wait to make a coaching change.  Wren has to be on the phone today and setting up interviews.  He needs to take over the Seth Littrell show at Rudys on Tuesday night and pump some excitement into this deal, and let fans and players know that brighter days are ahead.

This is the LITERAL definition of insanity.

We've already seen this story play out less than 1 year ago people!!!

Crap the bed in the first half of the season, then beat up on a bunch of horrible C-USA teams...    What good did that do?  We're still watching the same show.

I really hope this doesn't happen again, because I think it will re-tie Baker's hands just like it did last year.    He has to see this coming and get out in front of it.

If FIU is a toss up, we have a big big problem…

This is a much more difficult slate of games than last year.

No man.  Not really.   Don't you recall the preseason schedule prediction threads?   6 or 7 wins was the norm with EVERYONE picking us to beat UNLV.

What makes it more difficult is that we had several studs graduate/leave, and their replacements haven't been as good for the most part.    Adaway is fun to watch, but he hasn't been the game-changer Torrey was.   Duncan has played admirably, but he's not as good as Brammer.
And the defensive replacements for Murphy, Murphy, TDavis, Sanders have woefully underperformed compared to the guys they're replacing.

Compounding those issues, the guys aren't motivated to win because of their detached, emotionless HC.   Like, where is the urgency?
