So there are 6 teams entering the AAC next season. 2 of them have fired their coach so far, UAB lost its coach and will also bring in someone new. Would not be terribly surprised to see Rice coach fired in the next few days.
UTSA really might be the only newcomer that keeps its coach as it enters the new conference (unless somebody hires him away). Gonna be a lot of new next season.
Is it fair to say the defense made a good deal of strides during the season after starting out fairly mediocre? Meanwhile the offense has regressed more than it should have from the RB injuries (all teams have injuries after all), has loads of trouble staying on the field these days and the end result is that the overall team is not horrible, but also not inspiring and unlikely to overcome an opponent who is good at converting chances.
