Marzilio finished the first round at +1 and in a tie for 39th.  Prone had a rough day finishing at +11 and in a tie for 295th.  The top 64 after tomorrow advance to the match play.  Prone will need something miraculous to advance.

I hope Prone is gaining valuable experience as he started his second round with a double bogey on the first hole and will not advance beyond today.  It would have take a miracle round, but that double bogey was an extra nail in the coffin.

Marzilio tees off at 2:10pm and is currently T23rd at +1.  The leader is currently at -4 so there is a large number of golfers bunched at the top.  If he can shoot even par or better, he will guarantee himself a spot in the match play rounds.

I was at the arcola course a couple of weeks ago for a charity fundraiser. Everyone was blown away how fast the greens were in preparation for this tournament. Nice course with a view of the nyc skyline in the background.
