Does anyone feel that this is going to help sellout the Sept. 3rd game?. The first home game of the season against a

hated rival. I am still kind of waiting for the wonderful ticket initiative that will allow fans to witness a sellout. Maybe it is just too hot outside.

This is all fine and dandy but this kind of marketing should have been implemented decades ago not just now when high gas prices, inflation and the coming recession will impede many who have to travel great distances to games or who have to decide which is more important, food or UNT Football.

I also suggest a major blitz starting right now directed at your captive  audience, the students, who may not be able to leave the campus on weekends because of cost but who have already paid for watching a football game within walking distance.

I remember, kind of , the late 70's and the blitz on the students. Now, this was in a different state and time, but the dorm with the most students at the game received a half-barrel of beer for after the game. Then in the  80's I moved here and wondered where all of the students were during the game. We need students on campus and at the games.

That is a great place to start.  Area businesses have been pretty supportive of us re advertising.  Maybe we can make them fans.

I'd also like to see us make a concerted effort to get enough students to fill the east stands.

PS:  I'd bet that CUSA doesn't have a "Fire the Cannon" promotion.  (Sorry, I just couldn't resist)
