Prior to UNT: Spent three years at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico … 2021 Lone Star Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year … 2021 All-LSC First Team Offense … Played in nine games with nine starts in 2021 as a sophomore … Recorded 26 tackles (21 solo, five assisted)... Had 12.5 tackles for loss which was third in the conference... Recorded 8.5 sacks for a total loss of 57 yards throughout the season... Forced three fumbles... Had a season-high four sacks against Lincoln (CA) … Recorded a season-high five tackles against Angelo State … Division II did not compete in 2020 … named a preseason All-American prior to the canceled 2020 season … 2019 Second Team All-LSC selection... played in 12 games with six starts as a true freshman in 2019 … Led the Lone Star Conference with 12.5 sacks on the year... Led the team with 14.5 tackles for a loss... Recorded four multi-sack games and received LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors after totaling six tackles and 3.5 sacks in the Hounds upset win over #21 Angelo State... Posted 3.0 sacks and an interception in the Hound's win over Texas A&M-Kingsville... Set the school record for sacks in a single season... Eight of his sacks came in the final five weeks of the season … prepped at Burleson (Texas) Centennial HS for coaches Kyle Geller and Blake Meyer … Set five defensive program records, including most sacks in a game (4), most sacks in a season (13), most sacks in a career (17), most tackles for loss in a season (24) and most tackles for loss in a career (35) ... Earned Second Team All-District honors and received All-State Honorable Mention following the 2018 campaign.
