So people couldn’t come out to support McCasland because it could be interpreted as supporting Seth?   Got it.

Nothing to do with basketball.  We are approaching Football season and it's very apparent that Fans are not buying what Wren is selling (Seth).

Well, you can’t get much closer to being right dead in between the seasons of the two sports, but whatever makes you feel better.

Very difficult to justify this event having “nothing to do with basketball”.

We are in Texas.  Football drives the Athletic Departments here.  50 Fans at a Dallas event for UNT Athletics is embarrassing, but also telling.   Was it just apathy or could it be no excitement about the upcoming Football season?  Had a new coach been hired (as should have happened) there would have been many more fans there.

Count the thread topics on GMG, see for yourself what is relevant right now...

What has been our best attendance at a coaching caravan? What is the attendance for other schools when they do a caravan?

There was huge excitement in the summer after Dodge was hired, from both media and the fan base.  Season ticket sales soared.  I remember fans sneaking peaks of fall practice from the hotel hill overlooking Fouts to see the new spread offense.   Then it soon all crashed in the fall.  Lesson learned about hiring over-hyped high school coaches, lol.

I knew that.  Doesn't answer my question, tho.  Was anyone at the caravans when Todge was hired?

But yes, please tell me how the right thing to do is still blindly support this dumpster fire of a football program.

Since 2005, we had had 5 head coaches, played in 2 different stadiums, 2 different conferences, and have 3 winning seasons out of 17.

Want to know why nobody takes us serious outside of the 5000 diehards? 73 wins and 134 losses. A .353 winning percentage...against mostly spares to the common college football fan. That's your problem. Right now, a coach can't win here. And the ones who think they can end up just riding out the final years of their contracts for easy pay.

.500 - 0.600 seasons should not be the norm.  Certainly not on any 4+ year curve.

Okay then fold the program right?  If you are asserting the best this program can do is 0.425 there is no point.  If we can’t replicate what UTSA has done that is a failure of leadership here.  And we can absolutely run the table in CUSA no juggernauts in this conference.
