In a game we had to have to be in the NCAA Tournament, we shot 13 for 54 (24%) from the field and 4 for 24 from behind the arc (16.67%).

God this was disappointing. 36 points is just a complete anomaly. I hate losing to Tech after we beat them in just about every way in the season.

I actually think the game got away from us with about...1:30 or so to go.  We were down three and (I believe) McBride had a 7 footer or so rim out on him.  He makes that and we're down one with a ton of time left.  We win that game.

Great season. I'm not disappointed. I think we could've survived this loss and make the NCAA had we not lost to UTEP to end the year. I watch the NIT and I think the NIT is very competitive especially later in the tournament.

Agree, I thought the same thing as well. He hits that and the momentum is back on our side.

Both teams didn’t play good at all looking at the team stats….but we kept shooting too many 3’s after we couldn’t hit a barn.

You don't think our defense showed some teeth?  If you told me 3 hours ago we'd give up 42 points, I'd say we win that game 49 out of 50 times.

You’re kidding right? It means absolutely nothing. It’s better to lose in the play in game than win the whole NIT.

Can we just not talk about the NIT as a consolation for a minute?

This absolutely sucks that we missed out on the NCAA tourney after such a promising season.

We DO have something still to play for but it's going to take a second to soak this in before I can get excited for the NIT if at all.

Seriously.  All we did this game was show teeth.  Just couldn't make shots.  Effort was not the issue.
