Because that is the exact situation that UAB had yesterday…and they lost

Watch the replay! We had a 49-44 lead before UAB unleashed a commanding 11-0 run. We looked out of place, but not lost.

In the face of a massive UAB flex, Drez hit a 3 with about 80 seconds left, the Perry nailed 2 more threes to flip the script.

it is unreal what this team is doing. I hold so much regard for what our football team accomplished during the SBC run: undefeated, consistently edging out close games for 4 years. What this team is doing is just as, if not more, remarkable.

ESPN Gamecast would have probably had UAB at 99.something% at that point.

Should not have been at that point, if you just look at the two missed FTs by Perry (should have been 3 pts because one miss was the front end of a 1-and-1), but that wouldn't have been as dramatic.

With this team, I feel pretty good with that scenario.  Methodically pass around the perimeter for 95% of the shot clock, then pick your poison for a dagger shot with just over 20 seconds remaining.

AGAINST this team… better keep the intensity up, or they’re going to beat you.

Don’t make that comparison…it pretty much assures that in 20 years some of our fans will swear this run really wasn’t that impressive and CUSA was a 3A basketball league
