I understand your point. I think those saying the one UTEP margin won't change much aren't wrong. Collectively though, the way we win every game could in theory have an impact.

double digit win was really needed there… Great win, but we need to rack up the double digit wins to keep our rating up.    so just to be clear… people don’t actually care about an at large bid

But what about a loss to Buffalo?     Does the committee penalize teams that don’t play a deep rotation?     What about schools that don’t monitor whether students sit in season ticket h

This game has all of the classic signs of a trap game for us.  I expect us to lose and it could be by a big margin.

I forgot to say this, but I HIGHLY doubt Mac and the team care or are worrying about what seed they’ll be. Winning the championship, Making the tournament, winning the tournament and advancing is the goal, not if we are the 13 seed or 12 seed.

Id love to see us be a 12 or 11, but as long as we make it and win, I’m okay with whatever that comes with the national media attention.

I think Mac does honestly. He’s one of those guys who will say “we can’t worry about that kind of stuff” but at the same time can name you every team that’s close to us on the seed line, and is keeping tabs on them. He is very plugged in while keeping the mentality of controlling what you can control.

I think he does as well. Everybody does. Of course the most important thing is to make it in the tourney but I think Mac and even the players would like to see their hard work recognized by a better seed.

Now that I think of it, possibly. I know he's a voter on the coaches poll so that could say something

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. No other player has accomplished what he has. https://meangreensports.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/javion-hamlet/4731 Imagine what he would have accomplished if the 2020 NCAA Tournament had not been cancelled. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.
