Not a OU fan, but you have to question LR's ethics

Yeah, I don't get the "ethics" thing either.  I mean--I *get* it, but one can't be ok with NIL and then have a problem with a coach bolting.

Regarding Riley--he had built a successful pipeline to the west coast and southwest for OU.  I think he may have felt that maintaining it would be easier with a PAC12 team than with an SEC bound OU.  Just speculating though.

Lincoln Riley is not scared of the SEC. That argument is tired. Besides the top few teams, the SEC is way overrated anyway. It's really only Bama, Georgia, and 1 or 2 randoms each year. It's mostly just media hype.

LR moved for a better gig. Period. LA vs. Norman for a young, up-and-coming coach who seems to want to land in the NFL anyway? Seems like a no brainer to me.

Lincoln Riley was against OU's move to the SEC.  Maybe scared isn't the correct word, but he liked being the big fish in the Big XII pond and that wasn't going to happen in the SEC.

Regardless of your opinion about the SEC, it is a much, much stronger conference than the PAC12.
