“I felt like I had the potential to play Division 1 football, so I just bet on myself, came here and walked on then ended up getting a chance to play,” Adeyi said. “I really expected to come in here and redshirt, expected not to play. With injuries happening at running back, I got my chance and took advantage of it.”

Over the summer, Adeyi's work ethic shined through as he beat out a few other walk-on candidates for a spot on the team. He made an early impression on running backs coach Patrick Cobbs who continues to praise his coachability and his intelligence, allowing  Adeyi to fit right into the talented -- albeit banged up -- running back room.

Adeyi was arguably the best back on the field last weekend, but did not get the carries when it counted, nothing against Torrey but Adeyi outran him and should have gotten more carries.

It's amazing how, seemingly every year, our next RB just emerges.  One right after the other.  Then we have "our guy": reliable and don't really need to worry about him.  The following year, the next RB "emerges" and he's next in line.

nothing about our RB position has been forced or (rarely) questioned.  Wish we could be saying the same about the QB position.

I used to think this way, but I haven't since Wilson left. Doesn't seem like we have running backs on that level.
