It seems for most we are the biggest head scratcher for inclusion to the AAC and this is based solely on our Football program. 90% of these people have little to no clue the facilities upgrade or our success in other sports. Wren and Neal have the change to change the perception of UNT permanently. The next football coach cannot be a "should be good" or "he has potential" guy. We need a winner and someone who can put together a staff that can not only recruit but develop players. We have all wanted the chance, now we have it. We will be watched and scrutinized more than any of the teams that were added.

We do everything on every metric well with one HUGE exception… coaching hires.  It’s a very serious problem.  The fact is UTSA is bowed up on us right now and it’s simply because they have made much better hires in their shirt existence than we have in many decades.  I just hope and pray Wren and Dr.  Smatresk will get this one right.   God help us all if that does not occur.

I want to give UTSA the credit they deserve, but I doubt many thought Traylor would turn them around this fast.
