Wren and President Neal discussed in great detail the behind the scenes of the new conference alignment.  The final push started with the departure of Texas and OU from the big 12.

The commissioner of the AAC stated that if all the schools expressing interest, NT was the only contender that had ALREADY demonstrated a commitment to expanding facilities.

Neal said he met the SMU pres at a Dallas C of C event and they hit it off.  Apparently, ALL the ADs and thereby the university presidents had to agree to offer EACH of the new schools.

Great meeting.  Maybe it’s available online.  J

I watched online. It was a little awkward they kept pointing out Seth. I wish he could’ve had more sustained success here because I do like him and his family but “at the end of the day”, it’s not show-friends, it’s show-business.

Seth looked really uneasy as if he was out of place and didn’t really belong here anymore. Almost as if he wasn’t family.

Why was he even there?? He’s not going to coach in the AAC. At least not as coach of UNT. That was funny about him not being family lol.
