The weight room disparity was ridiculous.

On the other hand, I would like to see a comparison of the revenue generated by men's and women's sports on all levels.

Right, but that isn’t how the law (or morality) works is it? Using that logic they should treat all men’s sports other than football and basketball like crap because nothing else makes money.

Nope, but thanks for jumping to conclusions.

I really like the idea of combining the final four as well.  Of course, that's about the easiest, no-brainer thing to do with minimal overall effort and impact.

If we want to talk about "systemic" inequalities, then let's start addressing why Harvard has a $40+ Billion endowment and UNT is only around $200 Million.  Let's see those Ivy League elites finally put their money where their mouths are and share some of that.

The 2019 men’s tournament, the NCAA said, generated $917.8 million in revenue, and $864.6 million in net income. The 2019 women’s tournament, it said, generated $15.1 million in revenue, and that $2.8 million in net losses.

So by combining you could perhaps cut out the losses for the women's tournament but will you generate any real addition revenue for the women's tournament or just move money from the men? Following Title 9 guidelines the money spent on almost all sports outside of mens football is a loss, at best breakeven.

Football loses millions of dollars at NT and most NCAA schools.  It is heavily subsidized by students fees and tuition.

As far as treating men sports badly, most men's sports were eliminated because of Title 9 compliance.   Track and field for men is primary still here because of the NCAA requirement to field 16 teams.   Mens track, indoor track and cross country account for 3 of those teams.

There are only two sports that most fans care about:  football and men's basketball.  They don't make money, but they afford a lot of exposure and advertising for NT.
