DRC: Game at WKU highlights C-USA schedule for UNT men

Recommended Posts

I started to make the comment..."of course we have to play @ WKU".  Then I decided to look up the history between the programs to see how lopsided the schedule has been through the years and discovered something pretty interesting.  We have played WKU 21 times, 7 at home, 7 in Bowling Green and 7 at a neutral site.

It's been better since we joined CUSA.  Take a deeper look at our history and you'll see where that sentiment comes from.  Our first matchup with them was in 2008 in Denton.  It wasn't until the 8th game - four years later - that they came back.  It was a combination of poor scheduling and a couple Sun Belt tournament games in Hot Springs.

To me, an away game is not the marque contest of the year.

UAB and La Tech are both rated higher than WKU next season and NT plays a home and away schedule against them.

This.

It is a rematch of the CUSA title game, between the reigning CUSA champ and the league's media darling.  It may or may not be pivotal towards our title chances, but the press will drool over this one.

What I take from this is that LaTech (particularly Lofton) and UAB probably don't get as much love from the media as they deserve.
