Jim Hobdy has given more volunteer time (with free banners, posters, flyers, etc) than anyone in the Mean Green Nation.  Jim was UNT Athletic Promotions Director on a shoestring budget & was still able to get admirable results;  and those were happening when winning records were hardly plentiful.  

Congrats on another birthday, JH!👌

Happy Birthday Drex! We should have an annual Psychedelic Sock Hop to mark the event.

We're so grateful for your contributions, especially at times when there were so very few people making efforts to support this athletics program. Fans today generally don't realize how such a small group of people kept North Texas sports alive during it's darkest days.

Everything is so much better now; excellent facilities, burgeoning fan support, competitive budgets and salaries, and winning in almost every sport. 

We will always be thankful to you and others that made this possible.

In my mind, Jim Hobdy is a HOFer. Agree with Jimmy P. Very creative, talented, ethical, thoughtful, generous and always defended the turf when things were tough around the office.

Jim is a gift and a blessing.

I am embarrassed to say that I just saw this post...I should read more carefully.  Thanks for all the kind words.  I did what I could and some worked and some did not...the Psychedelic Sock Hop sticks in my mind as a complete fiasco.  As some of you may remember, the game went into overtime or double overtime.  So, when it was over there were about 10 students and the band and me..I have to laugh about it.  You guys always made it fun for me and I loved your dedication to ole NT.
