2021 NCAA Tournament (Other games)

I love the tournament for the upsets. Guessing a David vs Goliath mentality. This is ever more true since the P5 designation. Football is now always going to basically have the same top 30 just rotate in and around. But basketball still holds a place for the underdog. So besides our guys pulling a big ten upset I think Winthrop may be my team.

Hell, football doesn't even have a top 30 that rotate.  More like a top 12 or so.

Basketball does have more of a chance for under dogs, like your George Masons and VCUs with Final Four runs - but it is still mostly dominated with championship by the blue blood programs.  The top 7-8 or so historic programs have won over half the titles.  Even a school with terrific tradition like Purdue has never won an NCAA title.

(They do have an NIT title, but not in the era where it was arguably as prestigious as the NCAA championship)

Johnny's son plays for him. Pretty cool that they get to do this together.  I just feel bad because he will have to walk home backwards if we lose and then try to catch a flight back to Indy for his next game.  We better win.

Just now, CMJ said:

UCLA/Michigan State - first game of the tournament to go OT.  Three of the first four games either decided by 1 or in OT, and the first game was good too.  March Madness is back!

UCLA with a huge comeback and win.
