What's up Doc?

He has never been a coordinator on either side of the ball (but became MU’s head coach??) but he has been a good LB coach and recruiter. Pay him 350 and make him DC. Why not?

Who's this idiot?

Marshall made a mistake.   Tons of players coming out to wish him well.   Not many PLAYERS saying this kind of thing.

This would be a boss move for Wren (hedging bets), but Littrell would never go for it (for the same reason).

so now the requirement to be a HC is to coddle and produce unicorn farts. Good lord hate it when administrators who were always last picked for sports make decisions on sports matters.

Intimidating and degrading -- The new catch-all buzz words when you want to get rid of a coach that has performed well

I don't know who Littrell was targeting for our DC opening, but with Doc getting the axe, Brad Lambert is now available. That dude built a top 5 defense this past season, and it was just his second year in as their DC. We need this guy.... if Marshall doesn't hand him the keys to their car.

The main question - How many transfers can he bring with him?

As a DC i am fine with that. But he must never become the HC at NT. Notice how (rightfully) scared Marshall fans are of him becoming the HC

Marshall fan here...

Doc is a great recruiter and good coach but he has 1 title in 11 years and that was why he hasn't been retained. This isn't Justice's decision and not even Mike Hamrick the AD. This was Dr Jerome Gilbert's decision, the president of Marshall University. Dr Gilbert gave Doc 3 goals he had to meet this year.

1)Acceptable APR Score (980)

2)Team GPA 2.75 or above (3.03)

3)Conference Title (None UAB 22 Marshall 13)

If Doc would have won the CUSA Title in 2013 and 2020 we wouldn't be having this conversation and Doc would probably be head coach at least until Grant Wells had graduated.
