Guys, maybe I have drunk too much green Kool Aid, but it we go 2 & 1 our last 3 games, finishing 5 &4 for the season, having played 9 games, we just might squeeze into a bottom tier bowl.

Quite likely. A record over .500 used to be the standard to qualify for bowl games when schools regularly played different numbers of games. Remember when most schools played only 11 games but if you played at Hawai'i you got to play a 12th?
