Thanks, Billy.  I assume that's true as well if a player leaves during a year other than his freshman year?  I.e., the NLI is no longer binding but the scholarship agreement still has the same terms?

That's kind of strange.  Students need to maintain certain standards to keep an academic scholarship, but an athletic scholarship is guaranteed for the year regardless of what the student does, short of getting kicked out of school.

Right. My guess is it’s the same terms of agreement for both an NLI and yearly scholarship renewal

High School talent anyway...remains to be seen if he can make the transition to college ball. Has to take care of business on and off the field in college and no one is all over him telling him how great he is every second. It's a transition.  Some "talents" can make that transition, some can't.  No idea why this kid is leaving after not even giving it a real go at UNT. I do wish him well and hope he finds a place where he can play and mature into a great college player.  Next up!

You sound like the reason he transferred.
