State of UNT 2020 Football Season (as of Aug 17)?

I haven't been plugged into much news about this upcoming football season.

Can someone point me to an existing thread or explain where UNT stands right now in terms of its schedule?

I know A&M has cancelled all non-conference games this season but assuming C-USA doesn't shut down this season are we still expecting to play our non-conference opponents as it stands today?

SMU, Houston, HBU?

If we are still planning on playing everyone on schedule besides A&M, this season doesn't seem completely lost as I had once thought. As long as CUSA doesn't cancel, I feel pretty good about our success in the upcoming season.

Looks like the season is on!  C-USA said we will play all conference games and whatever non conference we wants to.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      It's all about how this gets settled now. FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, UNC, Miami, Duke, UVa, Va Tech, NC State, Louisville, Pitt, and Syracuse will find homes in the Big Three Conferences that will be left. My guess is that the B1G gets UVa, UNC, Duke, and Georgia Tech, the SEC gets Va Tech, NC State, FSU, Clemson, Pitt, and Miami. Louisville and Syracuse will go to the Big 12, probably with UConn and Stanford. Cal gets WSU and OSU to join their new far flung setup with BC, SMU, and Wake Forest, while they add in Memphis, Temple, Tulane, USF, ECU, and FAU to join their league.

      not to bad with a young team and their #4 being out for the tournament. Stone deserves another 1-2 yrs to get stability in the program after max exodus the past 2-3 seasons

      Rubin didn’t leave UNT for NIL money

      I don't know if we will ever see a 4-year player (or should we take this path) with recruiting or player development again. IMHO we should not waste our time recruiting HS players unless they are certified difference makers that will or are ready to start game one. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to a attract that type of player (yet). Our path to relevancy in the college basketball dialogue is winning by bringing in older, more experienced players even if it's only for a year or two at the end of their eligibility and then do this season after season, hanging banners and firmly establishing our program. We need to do this with 22-23 year old players not 18, 19 and 20 year old players.

      I grew up in Edinburg back when Abe Lemons was their basketball coach. Their finances are more stable now than back when they "withdrew" from the Belt.
