That's a pretty good situation.... they've got Foles, Trubisky, and Tyler Bray on that roster. Bray seems an unnecessary roster piece as a veteran backup (as Foles and Trubisky are both plenty experienced) and there's no QB of the future, given the disappointment/lack of development from Trubisky (they declined his 5th year option).

Mason should be able to beat out Bray, especially in Nagy's offense.

While I'm boycotting the NFL this year, next year I may be a rabid fan again so my very best wishes for Mason to succeed.  His success is of most importance but I wish that there was some way that he could continue to work with Drummond.

I wish Mason the best. It has always amazed me when it comes to backup QBs in the NFL. There are career backups who have never taken a snap, and it seems like the plan is hopefully they will never have to. Guess they are there to help prepare in practice? I would think you would want the back up to be someone who can step in, and then your 3rd team, along with practice squad players to be younger players who have potential. Would be surprised if Mason does not at a minimum, make someones practice squad.

Gee, I wonder why you're boycotting the NFL.

I have been hoping for news like this all summer long, as have most of us I imagine.   Somehow I was afraid that the NFL might have passed him by this year and that perhaps we would all be purchasing Toronto Argonauts jerseys or something!

All of my fingers are crossed, though somehow I don't think Mason is going to need the help!

Go get em Mason and Go Mean Green!
