COVID KILLS UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS MUSIC PROF

The death has been announced of Keith Johnson, emeritus professor of trumpet at the University of North Texas College of Music. He was 77 and had been in a care home for dementia patients where he fell sick with Covid-19.

Keith had been a prominent player at Dallas Opera and Fort Worth Symphony.

Do not want to sound cruel but if I have Dementia and covid takes me out, I would be ok with it.   Dementia is a long slow death and more painful to those around you except for one of my friends.   His mother law hated him and when she got Dementia should was crazy about him but she did think he was someone else.     It is not a pretty way to go out.

Not cruel at all in my opinion.  Dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc. are terrible.  As you said, long, slow death that is very hard on the family.

In any event, thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  May he Rest In Peace.
