One FCS opponent usually counts towards a bowl so this doesn’t change anything for us.

Correct. But, could we add a team last minute if there is an opening for both if the P5 conferences break off their contracts with them?

Fingers crossed this is something we need to "worry" about...right now I am worrying if there will be college football as conferences and universities keep opting out of the season entirely, move their seasons to the spring or simply cancel entirely. Fingers crossed as it would be a VERY long fall without college football.

Rose Bowl cancelled it's annual parade recently...cannot be a good sign.

Or February, March or April. Not sure when the season will start, much less when it could end. With trials already starting on vaccine candidates, the chance of a post season after the regular season improve. Delaying or canceling the regular season is certainly an unknown.

True, but this was done in consideration of the time it takes to construct the floats and the money involved, hence cancelling now.
