Virtual Coaches Caravans to Begin Next Week

Coaches Caravan with 308

DENTON - The 2020 North Texas Coaches Caravan, presented by 308 Construction, is set to begin next week. An event which typically includes several stops in various locations around the state of Texas will instead be broadcast digitally due to social distancing measures. 

Mean Green fans will have the opportunity to hear from coaches and student-athletes from all 16 UNT athletic programs. This will come in the form of a four-part video series spread across four weeks and emceed by Hank Dickenson. All four of the videos will premiere on Mean Green Athletics' Facebook page before becoming available on meangreensports.com. The schedule for the 2020 Coaches Caravan can be found below:

June 17 at 7 p.m.

June 24 at 7 p.m.

  • Head Men's Basketball Coach Grant McCasland with redshirt senior Javion Hamlet
  • Head Men's Golf Coach Brad Stracke with senior Viktor Forslund
  • Head Swimming & Diving Coach Brittany Roth with senior Leigh Faires McGee

July 1 at 7 p.m.

  • Head Women's Basketball Coach Jalie Mitchell with redshirt sophomore Quincy Noble
  • Head Women's Golf Coach Michael Akers with senior Lauren Cox
  • Head Tennis Coach Sujay Lama with senior Nidhi Surapaneni
  • Head Cross Country Coach Kevin Williams with junior Caleb Bouchard

July 8 at 7 p.m.
